Emotional Intelligence in relationships with the team
Challenge
Within the annual training plans, an International Hotel chain with more than 570 hotels worldwide launches a new leadership program to enhance the leadership capabilities of its managers in Spain.
The goal is to develop and enhance emotional intelligence as key leadership skills for people management, to improve daily interactions with teams, increase their motivation and achieve the desired business results.

A series of 3 workshops of between 8 and 14 hours each using a mix of experiential learning, practice and reflection dynamics as well as useful theory and models.
Workshop 1: Leadership Skills
In this interactive and practical workshop we provided a set of skills, tools and knowledge that allowed participants to evolve as leaders in a meaningful way and create more effective habits for managing people.
Workshop 2: Emotional Intelligence in relationships with teams
We covered all aspects of emotional intelligence, from how to identify our own emotions and how to use them to our advantage to how to develop the ability to empathize and help others manage their emotions to create positive relationships in teams. We also taught effective strategies to manage stress and key skills to improve our emotional well-being and that of others.
Workshop 3: Motivation of work teams
Based on recent insights from neuroscience and the true factors of human motivation, this workshop provided knowledge, skills and effective tools to motivate teams effectively. It also invited participants to develop new ways of understanding relationships and interacting with teams in a conscious and intentional way.
Results
- Participants learned practical ways to identify and manage their emotions, as well as using them to their advantage.
- They gained a greater understanding of how the human brain works and how to use this insight to change everyday behaviors that motivate their teams significantly.
- Participants learned and practiced 4 highly effective strategies about how to use stress to their advantage, for better thinking, decision making and problem solving.
- They walked away with new knowledge, key skills and effective tools to drive team motivation and commitment.
- Having learned, practiced and experienced the positive impact of specific skills, participants left the course with more self-confidence. They felt well equipped and motivated to start interacting and communicating with their teams in more sensible ways.
